The Spartanburg community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of 28-year-old Erik N. Estrada, whose life was tragically cut short in a fatal motorcycle crash early Tuesday morning in Spartanburg County.

According to the Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office, the collision occurred on May 20, 2026, at approximately 6:55 A.M. near the intersection of Warren H. Abernathy Boulevard and Fairforest Clevedale Road. Investigators from the coroner’s office responded alongside the South Carolina Highway Patrol to begin examining the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Authorities later identified the victim as Erik N. Estrada of Fann Court in Spartanburg. Tragically, Erik was pronounced dead following the collision. Officials confirmed that a forensic examination was conducted Wednesday morning, with additional testing still pending as the investigation continues.

Today, beyond the investigation and official reports, family members, friends, and community residents are grieving the loss of a young man whose life ended far too soon.
