Known by his colleagues as the &#8220;guy you wanted as your backup,&#8221; he served with a rare combination of grit, integrity, and warmth.<sup><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"p-rc_1a250002cbb4096e-206\">Kevin leaves behind his beloved fianc\u00e9e, Jessica, his mother, Barbara, and four siblings.<sup><\/sup> To his family, he was a son and brother whose presence brought strength; to the Commonwealth, he was a protector who, in his final moments, chose to face danger head-on.
