TRAGEDY IN POMONA: MAN CHARGED WITH TRIPLE MURDER IN PURSUIT CRASH

“A Family Lost: Community Mourns Expectant Parents and Unborn Son, Elliot”

POMONA, CA — On Tuesday, April 7, 2026, Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman announced severe charges against Marshall Campbell Judson, 31, in connection with the April 1st high-speed pursuit that ended in a fatal collision. The crash extinguished the “shining light” of a family that was just weeks away from a new beginning.

The Victims: Jennifer, Marc, and Baby Elliot

The victims have been identified as Jennifer Alejandra Loera Zarco, 25, and her boyfriend, Marc Anthony Trejo Saldivar, 26.

  • The Expectant Mother: Jennifer was nine months pregnant and just weeks away from her April 20 due date. Her sisters described her as “filled with so much love” and a woman who was born to be a mother.

  • The Proud Father: Marc, an avid soccer fan, was reportedly thrilled to raise a son and had already begun sharing his passion for the sport with family in anticipation of the birth.

  • Baby Elliot: The couple had already named their son Elliot. He did not survive the impact.

  • The Final Moments: The couple was just minutes away from their home, returning from a routine trip, when their silver Ford sedan was broadsided.

The Incident: April 1, 2026

The tragedy began at approximately 10:11 PM when Pomona police responded to a domestic violence call in the 400 block of East 10th Street.

  • The Escalation: While officers were speaking with a victim, Judson allegedly returned to the scene in a pickup truck, reversed intentionally into a patrol car, and fled.

  • The Pursuit: Judson led police on a high-speed chase through residential neighborhoods, reportedly reaching speeds exceeding 100 mph in a 35 mph zone.

  • The Collision: At the intersection of Garey Avenue and County Road, Judson’s truck broadsided the couple’s vehicle. The impact was so severe that Jennifer and Marc were pronounced dead at the scene.

The Charges: Marshall Campbell Judson

Judson, a Pomona resident, now faces a staggering array of charges that could see him spend the rest of his life in prison.

  • The Counts: Three counts of murder (including the murder of a human fetus), three counts of fleeing a peace officer causing death, assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer, and carrying a concealed, unregistered firearm.

  • The Evidence: Inside Judson’s truck, officers reportedly recovered a loaded, unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

  • Legal Status: Judson is currently being held without bail. His arraignment has been scheduled for April 28, 2026, at the Pomona Courthouse. If convicted on all counts, he faces 57 years to life in state prison.

A Community United in Grief

The “shining light” of Jennifer and Marc’s presence in Pomona is reflected in the massive outpouring of support for their families. A GoFundMe campaign has raised over $22,000 to cover the costs of three funerals.

In Loving Memory: We stand with the Loera Zarco and Trejo Saldivar families. May Jennifer, Marc, and little Elliot rest in eternal peace together.
