The class of 2026 has lost one of its brightest stars. Avianna Smith-Gray was a young woman on the cusp of adulthood, a high school senior with the world at her feet. Known for her radiant energy and the deep love she had for her friends and family, Avianna’s life was a story of promise and potential.
To lose a child is a wound that never truly heals, and the Edmond community stands in solidarity with the Smith-Gray family. Avianna was a daughter, a friend, and a student whose laughter was a gift to those around her. We remember her not for the violence that took her, but for the joy she brought into this world during her 18 years. Rest in peace, Avianna; your light remains undimmed in the hearts of everyone who knew you.
