According to Sanford police, Arthur and Catherine were traveling southbound on Route 109 in their Chevrolet Malibu when the vehicle crossed into the northbound lane and collided with a Toyota Highlander near 1811 Main Street, close to Cabana’s Auto Body Shop. Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the crash, and all three individuals involved were transported to the hospital with serious or life-threatening injuries. Tragically, Arthur and Catherine later succumbed to the injuries they sustained.

Authorities confirmed that weather and road conditions were not factors in the collision, which remains under investigation.
