Timothy was riding his 2019 Harley-Davidson westbound when, after cresting a hill, the rear tire of his motorcycle locked up. The motorcycle went down onto its side, skidded across the roadway, and came to rest on the south side of the road.

Despite wearing a full-face helmet and protective jacket, Timothy sustained serious life-threatening injuries. First responders from deputies and Potosi Fire & EMS arrived quickly and provided emergency care before transporting him to Grant Regional Hospital in Lancaster. Tragically, he was pronounced dead before he could be airlifted for further treatment.
