“Bucyrus Resident Killed After Failing to Negotiate Curve on State Route 100”
EDEN TOWNSHIP, OH — A 43-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene following a motorcycle crash in southern Seneca County on Sunday night. The Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) responded to the emergency call in a rural area of Eden Township, where they found a lone operator who had been ejected from his vehicle.
The Incident: Sunday, April 12, 2026
The crash was reported to dispatchers at approximately 7:21 PM near the intersection of State Route 100 and State Route 67.

The Lead-up: Investigators determined that David M. Clayton, 43, of Bucyrus, was operating a 2014 Harley-Davidson Street Glide and was traveling southbound on State Route 100.

The Crash: As Clayton approached a curve in the roadway, he failed to negotiate the turn. The motorcycle traveled off the right side of the pavement, struck a ditch, and overturned, causing the operator to be thrown from the bike.

The Outcome: Despite the arrival of emergency medical personnel, Clayton was tragically pronounced deceased at the scene.
